For more than 100 years, IBM has been at the forefront of innovation and transformation. In 2010, IBM shifted their business focus to become a cloud computing platform company, specialising in cognitive solutions. To keep pace with the changes and to advance and accelerate procurement’s value to the business through this enterprise transformation, IBM’s procurement function also embarked on a digital transformation journey. Marco Romano will discuss practical approaches and steps to address data strategy, analytics and cognitive solutions, as well as organisational change, new roles in procurement and lessons learned.
